Stop guessing the AP count: what Lysora Cloud's AI Designer does
Ask five suppliers how many access points a 20,000 square foot floor needs and you will get five numbers, none of them derived from anything. Guess high and you have quoted yourself out of the deal. Guess low and you are back on site at your own cost. It is the most consequential guess in a wireless project and it does not need to be a guess at all.

A coverage plot is a prediction, not a measurement. It models how signal propagates through the plan you gave it. That makes the quality of the input the limit on the quality of the answer — which is worth understanding, because it tells you what to send.

Where it changes the answer most
- Hotels — modelling shows immediately why corridor APs leave the far corner of a room short, and what a per-room wall plate fixes.
- Warehouses — ceiling height and metal racking dominate, and racking changes every time the layout does.
- Campuses and outdoor sites — planned over satellite view, where line of sight and distance decide the design before any radio is chosen.
- Heritage and concrete buildings — the case where an area-based rule of thumb is most wrong, and usually wrong in the expensive direction.

Zero-touch provisioning
Hardware ships pre-claimed to your cloud account and pulls its configuration on power-up. For a chain opening its fortieth store, that is the difference between an engineer on a train and whoever plugs in the power. It also means every branch comes up identical, which is what makes remote diagnosis possible later — you are troubleshooting one known design, not forty variations.
One console, no per-device licence
Switches, routers, access points and bridges all report into the same dashboard. There is no separate controller appliance to size and buy, and cloud management is not sold as a per-device subscription — which is most of the total-cost argument for the brand over five years.
Is the heatmap really free?
Yes, and it carries no commitment. We do it because a guessed AP count is how wireless projects go wrong, and an argument about coverage after installation costs everyone more than an hour of planning. If the design shows Lysora is the wrong fit, we will say so.
What do you need from me?
A floor plan in any legible form — PDF, CAD export, or a clear photo of an architect's drawing. Tell us the scale if the drawing does not carry one, plus wall construction if you know it. For outdoor, campus and point-to-point sites, the address is enough; we plan those over satellite view.
How long does it take?
Usually within one working day, and the BOQ comes back with it. Complex multi-building sites take longer because they deserve to.
Do I have to buy Lysora to get one?
No. If the plan shows your existing hardware placed differently would fix the problem, that is a useful answer and you are welcome to it. We would rather be the supplier you come back to than win one order badly.
